Agenda Trident Anatomy-This presentation covers a brief history, discusses the configuration of the components and process as well as discusses the application guidelines of the package plant. It details the features of adsorption clarification, mixed media filtration as well various enhancements made to the product since its introduction in the late 1970s.
Water Chemistry-Discusses how and why we treat surface waters. Parameters such as alkalinity/pH, turbidity, suspended solids, dissolved metals, color and organics are detailed. The basics of coagulation and flocculation will be detailed as well as the use of various coagulants, flocculants, polymers, filter aids and post-treatment chemistry. The session is very helpful in understanding how we treat surface water when using packaged treatment plants.
Trident Operational Strategies & Techniques-This section covers optimizing the operation of the unit by understanding which backwash frequency works best as well reducing waste and maximizing net production. It also discusses how to determine which process, clarification or filtration, is removing the most solids.
Maintenance- How to maintain the Trident unit properly. It also discusses the preventive maintenance schedule to help provide optimum operation, reduced waste, less downtime, and reduced operation costs. Expansion/Upgrade Options-Many plants provided in the 70s, 80s and 90s need replacement parts, repair and or upgrade. Our aftermarket team can pull the original bills of material, provide various upgrade and repair options as well as provide valuable experience and lessons-learned from past upgrades.
