Agenda This class is designed for someone who already holds a backflow tester certificate and wishes to expand their craft of backflow testing. This class will help improve their diagnostic skills. I will first review their test procedure and refresh their skills after that. I will teach new ways to understand how the backflow works as well as some new techniques on how to test them. This we will do with both a PowerPoint presentation, as well as lab time where I will have set up 15 different backflows that we can test and trouble shoot what might be wrong with them. Topics covered in this class: Introduction, rules & regulations, review of the current backflow test methods (I will be using the NEWWA method), common problems in the field, alternative test procedures, diagnostics information from the test, how to use it, what it might mean and lots of hands on. This class will be more than 60% hands on, showing alternative ways to test a backflow and understanding what your results are.
