In this class, we will discuss the findings of our energy efficiency program for WW and DW systems, along with selected case study results. Two of the case studies we will dive into are excellent examples of operators that are proactive with energy efficiency, even with solar arrays and VFDs in place. We will discuss how these operators explored each energy efficiency recommendation in detail to see if they could improve the savings or come up with a more cost effective project. We will cover both common findings as well as unique, or “outside the box” solutions to conserving energy. This class will include discussion time and a “Stump the Energy Guy” opportunity so bring your questions and get engaged! We will also talk about when is the best time to think about renewable energy and describe the various solar array projects that we have seen at WWTPs and DWFs around the state so far.
