Training and Event Coordinator

About GSRWA: GSRWA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to supporting professionals in the water and wastewater industry. The Association provides onsite technical support, training classes, and legislative representation. GSRWA was incorporated in 2005 and is a member of the National Rural Water Association.

Focus of Position: The Training and Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all training programs and events hosted by the Granite State Rural Water Association (GSRWA), including the annual Operator Field Day and other key industry events. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities (written and verbal), and a professional demeanor. The coordinator must be capable of working both collaboratively with the GSRWA team and independently with minimal supervision.

Position: Training and Event Coordinator

Location: 607 Tenney Mountain Hwy., Plymouth, New Hampshire. Work in the office. Travel throughout the state when needed.

Hours: Full-time

Schedule: 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. No weekends required.

Compensation: Starting salary between $24.75 and $31.15. Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off and holidays, 7% matching 401(k) plan. (No health benefits)

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule GSRWA training programs, including securing instructors, venues, and training credit approvals through NHDES and other agencies.

• Maintain the annual training calendar and promote upcoming courses through the GSRWA website, email campaigns, and other outreach channels.

• Manage class registrations, maintain participant rosters, and prepare training materials and certificates of completion.

• Provide on-site support at training events, including coordinating audiovisual needs, instructor introductions, and venue logistics.

• Coordinate and participate in virtual and/or hybrid classes.

• Maintain accurate training records and coordinate course billing with accounting staff.

• Plan and execute the annual Operator Field Day, Golf Tournament, and other conferences or special events, including coordination with speakers, exhibitors, and venues.

• Prepare event materials such as agendas, nametags, promotional materials, and presenter information.

• Assist with tracking and reporting into our federal program database.

• Assist with the processing of membership renewals and the maintenance of accurate membership records.

• Represent GSRWA at industry meetings, training events, and conferences as needed.

• Assist with the preparation of administrative, grant, and program reports.

• Works closely with other office staff to provide general administrative support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, arranging meetings, filing documents, and assisting with office operations.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director in support of GSRWA programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in education, event management, communications, or a related field preferred.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Previous experience in training coordination, event planning, or administrative roles is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email platforms, and database entry. Familiarity with website content management and graphic design (e.g., Canva or similar tools) is a plus.

• Willingness to learn new software/programs.

• Demonstrated ability to make independent and coordinated decisions and a proven track record of customer service.
